Many powerful people would prefer that you do not.
In the month of June, I will read Conceived in Liberty, by Murray Rothbard. I would like to invite you to join me in reading it. You will walk away from the month of June and from this course:
1.) You'll be the local know-it-all -- Rothbard has a way of providing perspectives that make you a brainiac for just being able to mention them. Most people have heard nothing like them. By reading Conceived in Liberty and discussing some of the ideas as part of the class discussion, you will likely become more expert in the history of the American Revolution than almost anyone you know
2.) You see how the Revolution was truly pro-liberty, rather than the nonsense they teach in schools -- You will be able to confidently present an argument that it was not a proto-socialist revolution, and it was not a conservative revolution (though both factions existed), but it was foremost a revolution about freedom
3.) Know why there are more important years than 1776 -- Understand that the true American Revolution took place from 1760 to 1775 and was a change in hearts and minds, while what took place in 1776 was a bloody rebellion. One does not require the other. I want to outline for you in the month of June how very important the 1760 to 1775 part was and how minor the 1776-forward part was.
4.) See how now is one of those more important years -- Recognize how we are now in a 1760 to 1775 period and what that means in your daily life if you can truly understand that.
5.) You will improve your daily life -- This month of reading and discussion is not an intellectual exercise. Like everything I teach, it is a time to take the great minds of the past and to apply their wisdom concretely to the way you and your family live and experience your daily life. It is meant to benefit you each day.
The reading schedule will be rigorous (100 pages of reading per class), but it is non-fiction, which means you can skip and skim and grab snippets and it will be enough to grasp the concepts above, especially alongside the discussion calls and conversations.
I will be reading all 100 pages each day but you don’t have to read it all.
I will attend all 16 classes but you don’t have to attend every class.
Attend at least half and participate in them and you will get the results I outline above.
Classes are recorded and archived so you can listen to them later and at a faster speed if you wish.
Also Conceived in Liberty is written by Murray Rothbard, which means the writing will flow better and be easier and clearer and the writing will be more cogent to read than at least 90% of academics. I find that those who don’t understand what they are saying tend to complicate things, leaving even the most erudite mystified. Those who understand what they are saying can explain even complicated ideas to a seven-year-old. Murray Rothbard could explain the American Revolution to a seven-year-old.
Which reminds me… the cost of joining will include all people in your household who wish to participate. Even seven-year-olds. That's right -- Everyone in your household is included under your signup. Just send me the email addresses of family members who wish to have their own account and I will make each one an account for our meetings.
Murray Rothbard was one of the great minds of the past century, yet he could not get a job in the Ivy Leagues. He was too willing to say the things that the establishment didn’t want to hear. He spoke the truth relentlessly. Expect relentless, occasionally hard-to-stomach, narrative-breaking truths from our reading of this book.
We will meet Tuesdays through Fridays in June (June 1 through June 28).
Each class will be an hour long, will begin with a few words from me on the reading, and will be a discussion that I facilitate about the passage for the day, and which I will seek to constantly bring back to actionable impacts on daily life.
All classes will be held live on my private social media platform (no Big Tech social media accounts required) and all classes will be recorded for those unable to attend live. There will be chat rooms to continue the conversation outside of the live classes as well.

You can even have it read to you as a free audiobook here. You may of course also use Amazon or eBay or similar platforms.
Again, I know this book is a heavy lift, especially for one month of reading and discussion, but I believe you will walk away changed by the contents of this book and the vastly different perspective it has to offer on the American Revolution.
As July 4 rolls around and as Americans feel their personal liberty being increasingly jeopardized by an out of touch and powerful government, I do not consider this an interesting intellectual exercise this June. I consider this a vital reading and an opportunity for self examination on how you and the rest of your home live out your daily lives.
Format of Class
Tuesday through Friday 2pm-3pm Pacific -- a brief summary of points from that day's reading, with some analysis, followed by a structured discussion on that day's reading. From 3 to 3:30pm, there will be additional time for conversation for anyone who has more on their mind.
You will learn and contribute best by doing the 100 pages of reading for each class, but it is non-fiction which means that skipping and skimming will not ruin your comprehension.

For more than two decades, the very best morning newspaper has been found at LewRockwell.com and free of charge. A gathering place for Dr. Mercola, Ron Paul, Tom Woods, Doug Casey, Walter Block, Tom DiLorenzo, David Stockman, and many more, as well as a repository for the wonderful work of the late Murray Rothbard, the late Joseph Sobran, the late John Taylor Gatto, the late Becky Akers, and the late Bill Sardi.
Part news, part opinion, and always a place that will leave you slightly uncomfortable, slightly shocked, and will daily get you thinking more insightfully about world events. This is the most concentrated place of the greatest pro-freedom thought leaders of our day, all curated by the hand of Lew Rockwell and his team. When the Ides of March 2020 came, LewRocwell.com became the home of the resistance to corona communism almost overnight with the publication of a piece by Ron Paul entitled "The Covid Hoax" on March 17, 2020. Fearlessly, and undaunted, unlike many other libertarian organizations, Rockwell led the brutal onslaught day-after-day on the evil regime and never looked back. Many eyes were opened thanks to the brilliant work of Rockwell and his team.

Ron Paul's 2008 campaign: awoke and inspired a generation of freedom fighters, spread Austrian School economics far and wide, reinvigorated the anti-war movement on the right, made the End the Fed movement a mainstream political idea, gave birth to the Tea Party, made a Donald Trump presidency possible -- love these outcomes or hate them, the momentous impact of his 2008 decision to run for president is impossible to ignore. The further we get from 2008, the more it becomes evident how accurate the phrase "Ron Paul was right," when applied to virtually every major concept he brought to light during his 2008 campaign. The Ron Paul Institute is where he continues that important work. Type coupon code RPI at checkout to give 100% of the proceeds of your purchase to The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity.

There are Beltway Libertarians, and then there are the rest the mainstream media assures us. While the Beltway Libertarians may get more mainstream media play, that is all too often because they are willing to profess libertarian principles that are convenient to the regime, while dispensing with libertarian principles that are inconvenient to the regime. Lew Rockwell, once the chief of staff to Congressman Ron Paul, left Washington, D.C, and got practically as far from D.C. as one could get -- Auburn, Alabama. It is not just a geographic distance, but a cultural distance. There, Rockwell built a nexus that has become, in many regards, the seat of the Rothbard wing of Austrian school economics, and the seat of the Rothbard wing of libertarianism, while also honoring much more.
Type coupon code MISES at checkout to give 100% of the proceeds of your purchase to the Mises Institute, founded by Lew Rockwell with significant early support from Murray Rothbard.

About the Instructor
Allan Stevo is not a historian. He is a writer and activist. This class, taught by Stevo, will not be erudite and hypothetical — as so many libertarian debates tend to be. It will be concrete, actionable, and applicable to daily life. Allan was active in more than a dozen states during the Ron Paul 2008 campaign and again during the Ron Paul 2012 campaign, with special focus on Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada. He made more than 120,000 phone calls to help in activating and training regular folks in how to best leverage the electoral and political process in their favor. He continues to do similar work today when intriguing campaigns appear.
Stevo was a professor at the Evanjelicke Lyceum of Bratislava, Slovakia from 2002 to 2005 where he taught British Literature, American Literature, and writing. He has taught classes and conducted trainings regularly since that time.
Allan Stevo’s professional work has been covered by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, Bloomberg, and many other news sources. His writing has appeared in The New York Post, The Daily Caller, The Hill, City Journal, Mises.org, Epoch Times, Los Angeles Review of Books, Emerson Journal, as well as syndicated in print across the United States. His favorite writing is for LewRockwell.com. Murray Rothbard and his work exemplifies the lion-hearted ways of many of the readers of LRC and websites with a similar ardent spirit, including the readers of the realstevo.com newsletter.
Stevo is a founder in the Bitcoin industry and is a ten-year veteran of the nascent industry. He speaks passionately about the spirit of Bitcoin as Austrian School economic theory put into practice. As an example of that, he delivered the talk “Satoshi Nakamoto was an Austrian” at Bitcoin 2019, arguing for Murray Rothbard and Ron Paul 2008 as specific influences in the creation of Bitcoin in late 2008 and early 2009. His talk “Infosec v, Hacker: The War for the Soul of a Technology,” delivered at Def Con 27 builds on that argument.
Stevo is the author of a number of books, among them How to Win American for Ron Paul and the Cause of Freedom in 2012, (a LewRockwell.com bestseller), The Bitcoin Manifesto, Face Masks in One Lesson (an Amazon.com bestseller), Face Masks Hurt Kids, and the recently released The Case for Robert Kennedy — all of these were written to be applicable, actionable, and pertinent to the dire times in which they were written.
While Stevo is no historian, he is no stranger to taking a useful idea, turning it into concrete action, and magnifying available resources to produce exciting outcomes. With Rothbards many establishment-challenging perspectives about the American Revolution, this promises to be a class that will so perfectly fortify you for the era in which we now find ourselves.
With that, I hope you will join me in reading Conceived in Liberty in June, not because I have much to gain from you being there, but because we have an impressive group, and an impressive author, and more ideas and discussions will serve to further grow that experience for others. I believe it will benefit you to be there and I believe it will be benefit others as well for you to be there.
