Write Now - 21 Day Challenge

Between now and the December Christmas book market, the goal is to get a written book out of you, published, and into the world.

To get us started, in this several months long process, and to lay a good foundation, I will be sending you an email each morning over the next 21 days.

On average, this morning email will take 5 minutes of effort to respond to.

This will be helpful for the advanced writer, the intermediate writer, and the beginning writer alike.

And when this is done, you will feel like you have grown in ways that you would not have expected possible in such a short amount of time.

It will require you to think out of the box some and to do some uncomfortable things that you might not be used to, but it will not take much time -- really, less than an average of 5 minutes.

It is important that you do these things each day to help lay the foundation that we are going to need.

And these are not hard tasks. They just require you to hit the reply button and to write out an email.

Being successful as a writer need not be hard, and it need not be time consuming, but there needs to be a little discipline around it.

Also, this work does not need to be perfect, but it needs to be done.

1. Discipline &
2. Done

Are the two key foundations of this challenge.

I need you to read the request, spend the amount of time requested on it, not a moment more, send it to me, and to then walk away from the request with the request considered done.

That discipline around doing the uncomfortable and unfamiliar, combined with a willingness to just get the work done, will be two important principles that will help get your project across the finish line while others are still twiddling their thumbs and making grand plans that they never get around to finishing.

You probably know what that feels like.

I know I do.

These first 21 days are intended to accomplish a number of things -- one of those things is to help put that habit behind you.

A willingness to do the work, to do it in a disciplined fashion within the short amount of time asked of you, and a willingness to just declare it done will be a big help in all of this.

Let's get you started with that first step. Let's get you one step closer to the finish line.

It's easy.

It's inexpensive.

It doesn't take much time.

And it's fun.
